Qasr al-Farid, meaning 'The Lonely Castle', is a majestic Nabataean tomb carved directly into a single sandstone rock formation in Al-'Ula, Saudi Arabia. Dating back to the 1st century CE, this unfinished yet awe-inspiring structure showcases classical Hellenistic architectural elements infused with Nabataean style. The isolated monument stands as a testimony to the Nabataeans’ advanced stone-carving skills and their significant presence in the Arabian Peninsula.
